The Grand Theatre: the heart of the Venice Carnival
Venice in 2012 re-invents the theme of its great Carnival. Piazza San Marco, the heart of Carnival, will host the newly conceived Grand Theatre.
The Gran Theatre, placed in the centre of St. Marks Square, hosts the major traditional events of the Carnival like the Mask Parade, "the Angel' s Flight" and the "Feast of Maries". Every evening from 07.00 pm to 11.00 pm, parties with animations and dj set; aperitif and finger food included!
Artistic Director of the Venice Carnival 2012 is Davide Rampello.

PARTERRE

The parterre presents large and confortable seats, two refreshment stands and a makeup area in which expert makeup artists will draw traditional masks in the face of the visitors. |
Prices of the parterre from 10 to 25 euro per person, according to the programme.

THE THEATRE BOXES

The Theatre Boxes, in three levels next to the Stage, are the most confortable and exclusive places to admire the diurnal events of the Carnival of Venice in Saint Mark's Square.

Sunday 12 February, the day of the Flight of the Angel, and Tuesday 21 ("Martedì Grasso") is constituted a "Premium Area" very close to the
proscenium with 150 comfortable seats. Premium Area permit the view of the special events in the most exclusive area in the parterre. Prices 50€ per person, from 10.00 am to 11.00 pm on Sunday 12 (free show on Tuesday 21) A finger food and aperitif will be offered. |
